3D Animated Screensavers

Article:
Screensaver is a type of software, which changes the static image on a desktop with a sequence of dynamically moving images after a certain period of computer inactivity. The image is usually dynamic, which means it is either some kind of animation or a slide show that changes the entire image on the screen at once.

In animated screensavers one "animated" object or several objects move against a background, which is static; this, for instance, can be fish moving in aquarium or leaves falling off trees with woods in the background.

Slide show screensavers are merely sets of static images that are shown in sequence; they replace each other at the preset time intervals. Slide shows can be sets of images of mountain landscapes, of seascapes, etc. There are many software programs that help you create a slide show screensaver yourself using your own photographs.

Animated screensavers (or 3D animated screensaver, because the moving objects are created as 3D models and then animated) are a lot more complicated. They require a lot of time, skills and effort, so they are usually more visually interesting, appealing, and versatile. 3D animated screensavers feature a lot of different subjects, such as holidays, animals, underwater world, nature, seasons, miracles of the Universe and many others. These screensavers are customizable, and you can use their settings to select the number of moving objects, color depth, background, scenes, etc. Animated screensavers often have sounds and/or music. So whenever you feel like it, you can decorate your desktop with a Christmas tree and its sparkling lights, or watch the moonlit night over the lake in the mountains, or enjoy the tropical sunset.

There are quite a few places on the web where you can choose the animated screensaver you like. Due to their complexity, these screensavers have certain minimum system requirements, and because of larger file sizes you must be prepared that the download will take some time. Right after you download and install the screensaver, you can test it, check out the settings it has, take a look at scenery and animation, and if you really like it, you can get the full version and will never be sorry!
